Mustang Kick-Up Volunteer Registration

First and foremost, thank you for volunteering your time at the Mustang Kick-Up! Our goal is for everyone, including our volunteers to learn about taekwondo events structure and have a positive and enjoyable experience. We have listed the areas where we need help below. Please read the descriptions and choose the areas you are interested in.

Once you have registered as a volunteer, the tournament committee will contact you with additional details once your form has been evaluated and approved. You can register at the bottom of this page.

Event Setup
These volunteers are responsible for preparing the auditorium for the event on Saturday, January 30 from 9:30-11:30AM.

Event Cleanup
These volunteers are responsible for helping in putting everything away and cleaning up the auditorium after the event on Saturday, January 30 from 3:30-4:30PM.

Security
Depending on the area, this person ensures the safety of the room. They enforce rules such as keeping the competition area clear of spectators and monitoring flow through the entries and exits. They will be needed during the event on Saturday, January 30 from 12:00-3:30PM.

Referee/Judge (must be a black belt)
These individuals judge and referee the matches. You may be asked to participate in a training session with the referee coordinator. Referees and judges are needed on January 30 from 11:45AM-3:30PM.

Medical
This person is responsible for helping athletes with minor injuries, provides ice, and assists with any minor wrapping. We would need this volunteer to be at the medical station from 12:30AM-3:30PM.

Equipment Check
This person checks the equipment to make sure everyone is wearing the correct safety gear and equipment. This person is needed on Saturday, January 30 from 12:00AM-3:30PM.

Hospitality
This person makes sure that the volunteers and officials have their needs met by providing water and snacks to them. This person is needed on Saturday, January 30 from 12:00AM-3:30PM.

Computer Operator
These volunteers are responsible for the computers at each ring. This person is needed on Saturday, January 30 from 12:00AM-3:30PM.

E-Hogu Manager
This person makes sure that those athletes who use Daedo wear the correct size and return it back when they are done with their match. This person is needed on Saturday, January 30 from 12:00AM-3:30PM.

Floor Expeditor
This person is on the floor and makes sure that the event is running smoothly and maintaining the flow of the event. They may also be requested to keep time. This person is needed on Saturday, January 30 from 12:00AM-3:30PM.

Runners
These volunteers are available at the ring in case a referee or judge needs an athlete, item, or equipment. This will help keep the event running smoothly so that the referee does not have to leave their post. This person is needed on Saturday, January 30 from 12:00AM-3:30PM.

There will be a mandatory volunteer meeting on Thursday, January 28 5:30-6:30PM. All volunteers from Monticello Academy are requested to attend this meeting. Volunteers from outside schools need not attend this meeting.
